Chelsea kimbroughs newest convenience store is open to everyone for the first time.
It’s a sign that people are tired of paying thousands of dollars to rent their own homes.
The store opened in a converted car dealership in Convenient Glass, a strip mall in downtown Conroe.
The dealership’s former owner sold it to a developer and turned it into a convenience store.
It’s been a long journey to get to where it is today.
Chelsea and her brother were living in Conroe for years before moving to Conroe and eventually moving to the city.
It was a long drive, but the store was worth it, Chelsea said.
The first store opened on July 31.
Chelsea and friends are now trying to open more of the same.
“It’s a really great thing to do, especially with our neighbors,” Chelsea recalled.
“I think there are people out there who just can’t wait to get out of their houses and live life in a way that is convenient,” she said.
“It just feels good to have something that is here to keep you moving, moving, and moving,” Chelse added.
The kimbrows new store opened to the general public on Monday.
It is one of many convenience stores opening up in the city as people try to make ends meet while still being able to afford a home.
The stores owner says it is a great opportunity to bring more people into the community, especially those who are not homeowners.
